School-Based Clinician

Mrs. McDonald, The Nationwide Children’s Hospital school-based clinician, is a licensed emotional and behavioral mental health therapist.  

Her role includes:

  • Providing intensive child centered and family centered therapy for concerns with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma and impulsive/risky behaviors
  • Facilitating small group therapy to help students learn emotional regulation, mindfulness, effective communication and problem solving
  • Offering consultation and training to staff 
  • Linking families with community resources
  • Crisis Intervention and Safety planning

School Social Worker

As a School Social Worker, Ms. Kposowa is a licensed mental health professional. She provides individual and group counseling services. She also is a Restorative Practices Facilitator and provides that service to some class groups. Some of her areas of focus are:

  • Crisis Intervention
  • Resource Acquisition
  • Attendance Interventions
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Social Emotional Learning

Her services are available to students, staff members, and families. 

School Counselor

Ms. Cundiff is the schools counselor and she does the following:

  • Supports students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development
  • Provides solution-focused brief counseling for individual student support as needed
  • Facilitates small counseling groups to build skills such as friendship, self-regulation, and problem-solving
  • Delivers monthly classroom guidance lessons focused on social-emotional learning, character development, and positive school behaviors
  • Collaborates with teachers, families, and staff to support student success
